Fr Matthew-Anthony Hysell O.P., Canada's first Deaf priest, currently pastors St Emeric Catholic Hungarian Parish, St Mark's Community of the Deaf, and lectures in dogmatic theology at Newman Theological College. He completed both his civil and ecclesiastical doctorates at Dominican University College in Ottawa under the direction of Fr Maxime Allard O.P.
